A young couple that had received many valuable wedding presents established their home in a suburb. One morning they received in the mail two tickets for a popular show in the city, with a single line:”Guess who sent them.” The pair had much amusement in trying to identify the donor, but failed in the effort. They duly attended the theater, and had a delightful time.

一对收到了很多值钱的结婚礼物的年轻夫妇把家安在了郊区。一天早上，他们在邮箱中找到了两张票，是城里演出的一场受欢迎的戏。还有一行字：“猜猜是谁寄来的。”夫妇两人怀着极大的兴趣想证实谁是赠票人，却怎么也找不出来。他们按时到了剧场，看得很愉快。
当天很晚了，在回家的路上他们还在猜那位不知名的人的身份，却发现房子里值钱的东西都没了。在餐厅里空荡荡的的桌上有一张纸，上面有着与寄来的票上同样的笔迹。“现在知道了吧。”
