A typhoon
Could not sleep well last night.Following the warning of a typhoon yesterday evening,a severe typhoon passed through the Hengchun district around midnight.The velocity of the wind was over 30 meters per second, and,the lights having failed,it was pitch-dark.Fortunately,however,it is said that no serious damage was done except for some floods which visited mountain districts.But it must have been a horrible experience for those living in the Hengchun area.

台风来了
昨晚无法安睡。紧接着昨天傍晚的台风警报后，一阵强烈台风约在半夜时通过恒春地区。风速超过每秒30米，而且，由于停电，四周漆黑。然而，庆幸的是，据报除了山区的一些洪水以外，没有造成重大的损害。但是对于那些住在恒春地区的人，一定是个可怕的经历。
