Englisah people can say as plain as the nose on one’s face to mean “very obvious”. Maye to them ,the nose is the most conspicuous part of the face.
这里有两条和中文的对应语十分想像;lead somebody by the nose(牵着某人的鼻子走);turn up one’s nose at somebody or something(对某人或某物嗤之以鼻)。英国人表示“明明白白”时,可以这样说:as plain as the nose on one’s face,或许对他们来说,鼻子是位于脸上最明显部位的缘故。
