Was Moses Raised by Jews?
Now I’m going to tell you a story. Several thousand years ago, feeling threatened by the success of Jews living in Egypt, the Egyptian pharaoh gave orders that all the newly-born Jewish boys should be killed. However, a Jewish mother stealthily put her baby boy among the reeds, who was later found quite accidentally by pharaoh’s daughter. The kind-hearted princess adopted the boy and named him Moses, meaning “the man drawn out of the water”. and that boy was me.
Gugu was so moved by the story of the exodus in the bible that he decided to pay a visit to the respectful hero. Then he took the time machine to ancient Palestine in 1000BC. At dusk, he saw the grey-haired and long-bearded man.
(G=Gugu M=Moses)
G: Ssir, I’ve just red the story about your leading the suffering Jews back to your homeland. Could you talk about that?
M: It was on 14th January, the Passover festival, that my clansmen and I started our distressful journey back to our homeland…
G: And you got an oracle from god on the way, am I right?
M: Yeah. By then we had wandered in the desert of Sinai for 40 years and deeply sensed the great power of god. He is the only god-Yahweh.
G: It was said that one day you disappeared from the campsite, and then came a horrible storm.
M: That’s true. After the storm, I returned safe and sound , bringing with me god’s injunctions—the ten commandments.
G :Great! The ten commandments later became the basis of the mosaic law, right?
M: Yes. After a long and arduous journey, we finally got to Moab, and I was already 120years old. We all felt exhausted; then we saw the mountains of our homeland.
G: You are really a great leader! and that was indeed a hard journey!
M: After that, my clansmen settled down there. My dream finally came true.
