这天Jenny花陪一位新来的美国同学去报名。Jenny花觉得很奇怪：“开始了美好的大学生活应该高兴才是，她怎么一脸沮丧啊？”于是Jenny花便问：“What’s wrong with you?”原来这位同学本想进另外一所大学，但是她的父母偏不答应。同学最后还说：“I have a feeling in my bones that my parents don’t like me.”Jenny花一听她这么说，似懂非懂，心想：“她是不是骨头不舒服，因为这样所以父母都不理她了？”于是，Jenny花说：“Don’t worry! I will send you to the hospital.”同学听完哈哈大笑。

to have a feeling也就是“有个感觉”的意思。请大家不要将to have a feeling in one’s bones误解为“某人骨头酸痛，感到不舒服”，它是指“某人有一种强烈的感觉，似乎什么事情将要发生，但是他又无法解释为什么”。所以I have a feeling in my bones that my parents don’t like me.的意思就是“我总感觉我的父母不喜欢我。”又如：I have a feeling in my bones that I wasn’t admitted by the best school in the town.这句话的意思是“我有一种强烈的感觉，我没能被镇上最好的大学录取。”
