首先，我们来看一下“ahead of schedule”这个词组：
ahead of schedule 表示比原定计划提早完成某事。
We can't afford to slow down , even though we are ahead of schedule .
虽然我们已经计划 提前，我们也不能放慢速度。
The building project was finished two weeks ahead of schedule .
这项建筑工程提前两周完成了。

ahead of schedule 的反义词是behind schedule 。 behind schedule
表示落后于原定计划完成某事。
We shall have to speed up the work or we will fall behind schedule .
我们要加快工作进度，否则就要晚于计划时间了。
The plane landed ahead of schedule .
Our suitcases were the first ones on the conveyor belt in the luggage hall .
We found a taxi straight away .

again and again 指反复地，强调已经做或说了很多次。

Fred's old pick - up got stuck in the mud .
Fred and his friend Mike tried again and again to get it out .
The pick - up just sank deeper and deeper and they got muddier and muddier .
If a friendly farmer hadn't arrived , I think they'd still be stuck .
