A: And silk garments happen to fall within the scope of our business. They are our main export products.
B: So I hear. And that’s why I came. I’d like very much to do business with China, as you trade on the basis of equality
And mutual benefit with all countries, big or small.
A: I hope we can, by joint efforts, promote both trade and friendship to our mutual benefit.
B: so, too. I feel I can on you when doing business as you always honor the contract and keep your promise.
A: It’s very nice of you to sy so. I trust we’ll have a pleasant cooperation and trade between us will surely flourish rapidly.

C: In fact, the new measures we adipt in our foreign trade are long –existed practices in the international trade. Now that China has joined the World trade organization it is all the more necessary for us to bring our measures in line with the international practices. To do this will nor only comply with the trend of world trade but also benefit everyhbody.
F: You said it. Trade practices between countries are in themselves of great varieties. Payment by installments or compensation tradem it depends very much on the requirement of both trading parties. They must meet with their interest. Only in this way, can trade expand and develop.
C: I share your view. But one thing is certain. No matter how various trade practices may be, the principle of equality and mutual benefit will never change. And you, as our old friend, will always receive our best attention.
F: Well said. I trust trade as well as friendship will, by our joint efforts, get along smoothly and healthily.

IV. A: I’m very glad you can come to our company and wish to develop trade with us in the line of textiles.
B: We used to be in the line of machine Tools. As competition is becoming more and more severe and makes it difficult for us to go on with our business, we turn to textiles. We hope we can get your support and cooperation in this respect.
A: No prob lem. We shall do our best to cooperate with you and develop trade to our mutual benefit. You are aware that Chinese textiles are known for their fine quality and reasonable price. They sell very fast in the European countries. I have every reason to believe that they wil find a good market in your country as well.
B: I have not the slightest doubt about it. By the way, will you let me know what varieties and designs you have for export? You should know, our nation’s favorite colors and designs are quite different from those of other nations.
A: Don’t worry about it. At present we have a lot of varieties available for export. Here’s a catalogue and a sample book. You may have a look at them and then tell us the items you are intereted in. besides, we can make products according to the samples you supply so as to meet your customers’ requirement. You will find them perfect copies of the samples you give us.
B: It sounds very encouraging. By the way, do you offer FOB or CIF?
A: It’s up to you. Which do you prefer?
B: I’d rather you quoted me CIF prices.
A: We’ll see to it when we make you offers.
