Paula I’m bored. What can we do?
Jack Don’t you hav eany homework to do this weekend?
Paula I have to go into the garden and make a list of all the creatures that I find. Then I have to write one thing about each creature.
Jenny That sounds fun.
Jack What do you expect to find in the garden, Paula?
Paula Um, bugs, bees, spiders, worms.
Jenny Yes. Anything else?
Paula Maybe I’ll find a snake.
Jack Well, it’s not impossible, but it’s unlikely in Britain.
Jenny What else would you expect to find, Paula?
Paula Um, birds.
Jenny Yes.
Paula Perhaps a frog. Are there any racoons in England?
Jack Unfortunately not. But there are a lot of rabbits and squirrels.
Jenny yes, there’s often a squirrel in the apple tree. Let’s go and see if there’s one there now.
