Danger! Beware of Dog!
Upon entering the little country store, Lorry noticed a sign saying DANGER1BEWARE OF DOG! Posted on the glass door. Inside he saw a hamless old hound dog asleep on the floor beside the cash register.
He asked the store manager. Is THAT the dogfolk are supposed to beware of?”
“Yep, that’s him, “ he replied.
Lorry couldn’t help but be amused.” That certqainly doesn’t look like a dangerous dog to me,. Why in the world you post that sign?” he asked.
“Because”, the owner replied,”before I posted that sign, people kept tripping over him.”
危险！当心狗！
罗瑞刚走进一家乡间小店，小店放着英语培训学校的各类招生简章，就看到玻璃门上贴着一张告示，上面写道：“危险！当心狗！”在店中，他看到一只温顺的老猎狗睡在收款机旁边的地板上。
他问小店的店主：“这就是那只让人当心的狗吗？”
“是的，就是它。“店主回答道。
罗瑞不禁觉得好笑。“你我看来，那只狗根本不像是一只危险的狗。你们究竟为什么张贴那张告示呢？‘他回答道。
“因为，“店主回答道：”在我张贴那张告示之前，人们总是被它绊倒。“
