1. 副词的位置
多数副词都放在所修饰的动词后面或句末。例:
It’s raining hard
She doesn’t work here now.
1)程度副词一般放在被修饰的动词、形容词或副词前面, be 动词或情态动词后面。 I can hardly remember his name.
I am terribly sorry for the. inconvenience.
2) 方式副词一般放在动词后面.。 在动词+介宾结构中,方式副词既可放在介词前,也可放在宾语后;在动宾结构中,方式副词一般放在宾语后面,但如果宾语较长,往往把方式副词放在动词前以避免歧义。例:
He could speak English very well.
He looked at her sadly.
He shook hands eagerly with the president.
I excitedly told the boy who was waiting anxiously outside the classroom that he has passed the exam successfully.
3) 逻辑连接副词和评注性副词[obviously, (un)wisely, (un)reasonably, likely, clearly, actually, undoubtedly, simply, personally, finally, unexpectedly, (un)fortunately, certainly等]通常放在句首, 有时也可放在句中或句尾。例:
However no one knows the answer.
He came to visit us unexpectedly.
He was different, however, from the others.
4) 时间、地点副词通常在句首或句尾。例:
They will bring the package to us soon.
Yesterday I went to church.
Here you can have a rest.
The children threw their toys everywhere.
2. 副词的顺序
1)方式副词→地点副词→时间副词, 或将时间副词放在句首。例:
She wore gracefully in the party last night.
◆ 注意 :
run, go, drive 等+ 地点副词+方式副词+时间副词。 例:
I went home happily after school.
2) 内容具体的在前,笼统的在后;小的在前,大的在后。例:
We arrived in London at five o’clock yesterday morning.
He was born in a small village in China.
3. 几组副词比较
1)sometime, sometimes, some time
sometime是副词,表示“将来某个时候”;sometimes是副词,表示“有时候”;some time 是名词短语,表示“一段时间,一会儿”。例:
I sometimes get up late on Sundays.
I will call you sometime tomorrow.
You should spend some time correcting your mistakes.
2) enough, only
enough作副词修饰形容词、副词或动词,意思是 "十分地;充分地;足够地;充足地",置于被修饰的形容词或副词之后,常与不定式或介词for连用 ,在句子中作状语,表示程度;enough作形容词时,意思是"足够的;充分的",常与for或不定式连用,可以作定语或表语,既可放在被修饰词的后面,也可放在被修饰词的前面,意义没有多大区别。Only 必须紧靠被修饰词,在不同的位置有不同的含意。例:
Have you made enough copies?
Five men will be quite enough. 五个人就足够了。
They will get there fast enough by train if they leave tonight.
Mary can solve this problem only. Mary只能解决这个问题。
Only Mary can solve this problem.只有Mary能解决这个问题。
