合同的外贸英语对话练习
I. After re-respection, we found the goods to our great satisfaction.
--I’m glad to hear it.
All the commodities should be packed to the satisfaction of the customers.
--We’ll certainly keep an eye on it.
To my great satisfaction, the quality is first rate.
--We hope it will help you make profit.
Your questions are too technical. I’m not sure if I can answer all of them your satisfaction.
--You’re being modst. I know you are a perfect expert inhtis line.
II. as he was a new customer of ours, I rejected his request ofr D/P terms.
--In a sense, your are right in refusing to accept D/P.
We’ve done business with one another for quite some time.
--Therefore, in a sencse we are close partners as well as old friends.
Thank you for your prompt delivery of the goods. You are indeed a great help.
--In a sense, I am helping muself in obtaining further orders from you.
I shall see that theL/C is established without further delay.
--It’s for your own good, in a sense. As we won’t be able to dispatch the goods you need so urgently unless we receive the covering L/C.
III. It is only in view of our long standing business relations with you that we accommodate you with a spccial discount.
  Thank you for your accommodation.
  It is on 15 October that we shipped the goods on s.s. “Prince”. The ship must have arrived at your port now.
  We have ,strange to say, not heard any news of it yet.
  It is the insurance company or the shipping company that you should file your claim against.
  --But the damage is obviously due to the improper packing. So you are tobe held responsible for it.
It is pon FOB terms you bought the goods.
  --Yes, what then?
IV. we have so far covered the main items of the contract.
--Yes, and we’ve reached an agreement on them.
The manufacturers have so far turned out 2/3 of the ordered goods.
--I hope they will continue their efforts and deliver the balance before November 15th.
I haven’t been exactly successful so far.
--You don’t say! What’s the heart of the matter then?
We’ve discussed the problem of insurance and packing.
--So far, so good. Next we’ll come to the most delicate question of price.
I will try to explain the steps we’ve taken so far.
