Task 5 Speak Yourself
In this part of the unit, you will talk to yourself about your own experience related to first aid and medical emergencies. Listen to the following talk and finish the task after each talk.
本部分是自我练习口语，谈论关于急救服务和医疗情况的亲身经历。听下面的短文并完成每篇短文后的练习。

It was my day off and I went to the Forbidden City with several friends. There I noticed a woman looking pale and very painful. I came up to her to her and asked her and asked her if she need any help. She said she had a very serious stomachache. As a foreigner, she couldn’t speak Chinese and didn’t know what to do with it. I helped her out of the forbidden City and sent her to the nearest hospital. She was very thankful to me and soon got out of the hospital.
那天是我的休息日，我和几个朋友去故宫。在那儿，我注意到有一位妇女脸色苍白，看上去很痛苦的样子。我走到她身边，问她是否需要帮忙。她说她胃很疼。她是一个外国人，不会说汉语， 不知道该怎么办。我扶她走出故宫，并把她送到了最近的医院。她对我深表感激。很快，她就出院了。

sb.’s day off 某人的休息日
look pale 面色苍白，look +形容词，表示“看上去……”
have a very serious stomachache 胃很疼，请注意have的这一类用法(have a sore throat, have an earache, have a
headache等）
be thankful to sb. 感激某人，还可以说be appreciate to sb.
Get out of the hospital 出院，表示病已痊愈，“痊愈”还可以说get /be recovered

Work in small groups of our four and tell each other about an emergency that recently happened to you, or that you came across recently.

Twos ago, I took part in a training session for first id. The session was organized by the red Cross Society of China. The doctors there taught us how to give basic first aid to patients in different emergencies. We learned how to deal with heart attack, bleeding, breathing difficulties and heart stroke. The doctors also gave us does and don’t when we are calling 120 and 999. I really learned a lot from the session.
两年前，我参加了一个急救培训班。 这个培训班是由中国红十字会组织的。那儿的医生教我们怎样在不同的情况下对病人实施基本的急救。我们学习了怎样处理心脏病突发、流血、呼吸困难和中暑。医生还告诉我们拨打120和平解决99时高度民主做和不该做的事。我的确从这个培训班上尝到了很多东西。
