ASKING FOR PERMISSION
Can I …?
Can I borrow your pen, please?
Is it all right it…?
Is it all right if I sit here?
使用May I…?或could I…?
May I come in?
Could I speak to your mother please?
GRANTING & REFUSSING PERMISSION
Yes, of course.
Of course you can.
Go ahead.
Please do.
Be my guest.
No, I’m sorry,
I’m afraid you can’t.
Woman Can I read this newspaper?
Man Of course you can.
Woman Could I take this chair?
Man Please do.
Man Is it all right I sit in this seat?
Woman No, I’m sorry.
Man Can I take this home?
Woman No, I’m afraid you cann’t.
DO YOU MIND IF…?
Do you mind if I open the window?
在条件时态里,Would you mind if…?
Would you mind if I smoked? Do you mind …?和Would you mind…? 必须说No。
I’d rather you didn’t.
Yes, I do mind.
Yes, I would mind.
Man Do you mind if I open the window?
Woman No, not at all.
Man Thank you.
Man Would you mind if I smoked?
Woman No, go ahead.
Man Thank you.
Man Do you mind if I open the window?
Woman I’d rather you didn’t. I’m cold.
Man Sorry.
Man Would you mind if I smok
