cut somebody some slack
cut somebody some slack
看过美国情景喜剧friends(,老友记。) 比如:一量有人说who’s interested in who(谁对谁有兴趣),他会立刻更正:who’s interested in whom.
Cut me some slack!”
“Cut me some slack!”
Tom I soften late for work these days, but I’m sure boss will cut him some slack. After all, his wife just died.(Tom
I know you’ve been through a lot, so I’m willing to cut you some slack here. But, don’t you yell at me again, okay?

Adam: Damn it! How many times do I need to tell you “everyday” is an adjective? You go to school“every day”, not “everyday”(Adam:讨厌!
Becky: Oh, cut me some slack, I do know the difference, I was just typing too fast.(Becky:
讲到cut somebody some slack,顺便提一下另外一个带cut的常用短语:cut the mustard.
Does your grammar cut the mustard? Take this to find out.(你的语法够好吗?
Sorry. You just don’t cut the mustard for our company. We hope you have better luck somewhere else.(非常抱歉,你不是我们公司需要的人才。
Linda: You are two hours late! (Linda:
D: I‘同杰扩。(D:打击)
Linda: Sorry doesn’t cut it. You ‘d better give me a good reason.(Linda:
