美国俚语——A blind date
A blind date可不是“一个盲目的日期”，这跟日期完全没有关系！Date 在这里是“约会”的意思，“盲目的约会”就是通常说的相亲。因为事先对对方的长相、性格、爱好等因素都不是很熟悉，当然就是blind 啦。比如：I'm really freaking out for I'm going on a blind date in half an hour, but I'm still not sure how to dress up.（我真的很紧张，因为半个小时后就要惊人介绍去见一个对象，但我直到现在还不知道穿什么好。）
在日常生活中，日期是经常discuss的话题，你可能经常会说：What day is today?（今天星期几？）可是，你只会这一种表达方式吗？occasionally也换一换吧，为什么不用 “What day is it?/What day of the week is it today?
如果你感觉用“What day is it today?”并不能凸显你很cool的口语，那么试一下What 's the date today?/What's the date?/What date is it today?/What's the date?他们都可以表达同样的意思，却更有freshness。
你会不会忙的天昏地暗，连现在是几个月都不知道了呢？这个可能性还是有的。这时候，你可以问问： “What month was last month?”或者“What month is next month?”或者“What month is this?”他们都能让你对现在的月份有concept。
想要知道现在是几点了，那么就有politely地说 “What time is it, please?”吧!当然你也可以说Could you tell me what time it is now?或者Have you got the time?
